That Infinite Experience: The Concert - One Great Step

It’s free! It’s free! The best things in life are free! It is so true for the Inspirits here in GCC! Still it’s puzzling and really at first we thought that it’s a hoax. We all know how expensive Kpop tickets are 200 USD on average for a good seat not to mention that you have to fight with thousands of fans for that good seat with a faster internet connection than yours and you end up paying the same thing, but a sucker seat. The first thing that made One Great Step, Infinite’s first world tour so awesome because it’s FREE!

That Infinite Experience: At the Airport

If you belong to a certain fandom, seeing pictures of your idol arriving and departing from the airport is a common thing. When your favorite Kpop group goes somewhere outside Korea, your Twitter, Tumblr and every SNS that you are on, you’ll get feeds of their pictures at the airport. I am always in awe thinking of how long they camped out on the airport and the trouble of getting to the airport. With that in mind, I want to experience it myself and have my own story to tell, thus this blog entry.

One Great Step: Infinite World Tour

It was during my 2011 vacation to the Philippines that I got to know Infinite. I am so amazed on how synchronized their dance numbers are and their costumes (got to love Infinite's coordi). However, I wasn't able to dig further on their music because I am more inclined to CNBLUE, later on SHINee and who would guess EXO!

Sageuk, Cherry - Seoul Day 2!

We choose to visit Seoul around spring. When I first thought about visiting Seoul, I didn't think of a particular season. Maybe its because I never thought that I'll really get to go because of money constraints. Now that I have some to spare for a trip, I thought of visiting Seoul during spring and get to see Ms. Cherry! Cherry Blossoms that is! How many times do you see them as backgrounds to a lot of drama? A lot and its so pretty! Its just a pity that we didn't see them actually falling, for it could have made our trip more dramatic) but still seeing them in real life is beautiful!

Candy Crush Saga!

I am currently at level 140! Still a long way to go, considering I know people who actually finished that game already, though there's been constant updates! I remember spending probably 15% of my yearly vacation just to to play that thing that I never thought of succumbing to yet another addicting and popular game.

I saw this post on cutepolish's youtube channel, so this is my recreation! Are you also addicted to this game?

Kim Jae Wook and "Who Are You"

Just when I start to wonder (and not googled) when I'll get to see him on small screen, Kim Jae Wook (Coffee Prince, Marry me Mary) is on Who Are You! After Marry me Mary aka Mary Stayed Out All Night, he went to do his 2 years military service and last week. I just finished watching Dal Ja's Spring, a rather old drama which I marathoned because dramabeans' rating says so and he is there, the good ol' friend of Kang Tae Bong (Lee Min Ki). I immediately remembered that he is supposed to be out already and should be working and he is! I'm a sucker for his hair and hated it when I saw his clean look in Marry me Mary.

Last night as I watched another fantastic episode of Monstar, on its opening, there's a preview of Taecyeon's new drama which almost fell from my radar, sorry baby, I know you have one, it just that there's just a lot of boys things going on my mind. I was thinking what drama will air after Cyrano: Dating Agency, and I didn't remember your drama. I don't have much expectation on this drama, but recently if its produced by tvN, its somehow synonymous as a good drama. Yes, all those Flower Boy series were aired on tvN. I just realized how this lady, So Yi Hyun (Heartstring, Cheongdamdong Alice) had been paired with my boy Yonghwa and now Taecyeon. Sigh!

I don't see any subs yet and I don't know if it will be recapped on dramabeans though. It will be nice if there will be one, a space where you can discuss the drama with your fellow drama addicts. I don't know when I'll have the time. I am still catching up with I Hear Your Voice and plans to start Sword and Flower and Heartless City

CNBLUE's Lady

CNBLUE's Lady PV is out! Its so nice that I've been getting more of CNBLUE this week! Starting with drama casting of Min-hyuk for Heirs and Yong-hwa for Future Choice! Its nice to know that I'll get to see them twice a week on the small screen, though I am fully aware that they are not the best actors, but anything that will feed my fangirling is always welcome! yay!

Seoul Day 1.1 - 14 April 2013

This is technically our first day of our long awaited tour of Korea. What is good about arriving at night is that you've probably regain much energy needed for your tour the next day. We slept around 2 am I guess and we woke up around 8. Mr. Young knocked on our door and we thought he is inviting us for church, since its Sunday. When we are about to head out, he asked if we book for a tour. I told him that nothing was finalized. I feel bad about that because we were supposed to take DMZ Tour, but due to the news going around that time (NK threatening SK), I thought that it will not be a good idea, plus we may not be able to go to some location because MAYBE security was tightened. A lot were concerned with our safety, but the look that we have on our faces says it all, "No news will stop us from going there!" Though as a precaution, we skip the whole DMZ tour. We head out around 10 am, which became the pattern of our entire tour of Korea. Itinerary for the day:
  1. Hwaseong Fortress
  2. N Seoul Tower
  3. Myeong-dong

Argyle Nails

I just received my stripper that I ordered online! So I tried an argyle nails. Sorry for the sloppy work.

Minions - Despicable Me

Despicable Me 2 is out! Uhhhm.... I actually didn't get to see Despicable Me 1 which makes me a loser.  I find the Minions cute, and just to get in to the craze, I tried the Minions on my nails!

I eventually saw Despicable me 1. Its funny and heart warming. I am subscribed to cutepolish in youtube. Check her video below!

After School Inspired Nails

I definitely cannot do pole dancing. Though I still don't know whats the relevance of pole dancing to what After School is doing on their MV, still its pretty to watch. I'll just use pretty. I spotted their nails and tried to recreate them. na..na..na..na..na.. Check out After School's First Love music video below.

Celebrating Bluemoon in Manila

I can't... If only.. But... Yes, I did see CNBLUE's Bluemoon in Hong Kong last May, but nothing beats a CNBLUE concert in your home country. We planned our vacation so early that the announcement of CNBLUE's concert in the Philippines were done after our trip was finalized. Anyway, to celebrate it (from Dubai) on the day of the concert I wore my Bluemoon concert t-shirt and painted my nails... BLUE! I put silver studs on my point finger. I remember coming to Hong Kong with that same nail color :)

Team Colorbar!

I thought they will call their group Monstar and these group of kids caught up by a "poop incident" dare to challenge their schools resident band "All for One". I love this show so much and last night when I watched episode 7, I'm loving it more and more. I was saddened to read that it is just scheduled for 12 episodes, which means only 5 episodes more to go. This episode is packed with a lot of nice songs, which starts with the swoon-worthy song for I believe Se-yi, duet of Sun-woo and Na-na, All for One's rendition of Amazing Grace and lastly, Colobar's performance.

SPOILER AHEAD!

This episode is a Kim Na-na episode. I knew that she has a powerful voice. I mean she will not be put there without any exceptional talent. As I read through different comments on dramabeans, I learned that she (Kim Na-na) is a member of GLAM (GirLs be AMbitious) and her name is Dahee. We already saw her singing abilities on episode 6. The only one that we don't know whats her talent is, is Eun-ha aside from writing fanfics and a good friend.

first song in episode 7, I still don't know the title
Bad Kang Ha-neul! Bad! Why do you strum the guitar and sing like that? I was not supposed to root for you. I learned the hard way how rooting for the second lead, leads to nothing. Hello? He/she will not be called second lead for nothing. If only we can take him with us -- those wasted second leads. But I heart you. Can't blame Na-na either. Sigh.

Sun-woo catches Na-na... swoon!

Usually, with this kind of face-off plot of a musical, we know how things works. One member gone missing and just comes in just in the nick of time to save the day! That's Kim Na-na for you! When Seol-chan said "Thank you", its like saying "prepare your minds to be blown away". I like the confidence that he had and it binds the group somehow. And boy they rock!

Colorbar
Colorbar's performance is part 5 of Monstar OST. Hit play to listen. and you can check various site to see Monstar online (dramacrazy, gooddrama).

Don't Make Me Cry (날 울리지마)

Thank You - Ra.D

Ra.D's latest mini album, Small Story that was released sometime last March, with "Thank you" as its promotional single (you can listen below). Get the full album here. I hope to hear new songs from Ra.D sometime this year!

Ra.D

With my growing interest in K-Indie, I found Ra.D! Such simple name but this guy can do so much. Even with that statement, it still lacks the praise that Ra.D needs. I was taken aback from looking for who is Ra.D because of the name. You know how KPop mix capital letters and punctuation marks, anyway, I skipped the entire article in seoulbeats because of the name. And now that I would like to know more about Ra.D and he doesn't even have a wiki page. BOOOOO! A fangirl got to know his birthday, height and blood type more that his discography. hehe!

How did I learn about Ra.D? Who is Lee Doo Hyun by the way, born in 1980, and debuted in 2002. My friend asked me if I know the background music on episode 5 of Dating Agency: Cyrano, kdrama that features SHINee's Taemin :). Yes I have to put a smiley face there! His voice is not new to my ears and got a few guesses thinking that its an old song. I googled it and found nothing. I told my friend to give it 2 days and soon, everybody will be asking what that song, and a kpop geek will say what it is and who sang the song. Well I was not mistaken! First, everybody is asking for the same song too! Well not everybody, I mean at least to those who is watching the show. Second, yes after a couple of days, somebody gave an answer, and the name Ra.D appeared! I was about to rip the video file to an audio file and take only the part when the song is being played!

The song by the way is "A Certain Heart Fluttering" (ì–´ë–¤ 설레임), part 3 of Dating Agency: Cyrano OST. I like the song a lot, and I love Ra.D's voice! Apparently he collaborated with a lot of artist already and was surprised that my growing list of Kpop songs on my hard disk already got a couple of Ra.Ds there for I have IU, and Lee Seung Gi albums. He even got rendition of "Jesus Loves Me", a popular Christian song for kids and I remember growing up learning that song too! Its cute for it features a kid also, singing with him.

I'm sure I'll not forget to buy his albums when I get back to Korea next year! I wonder who will be my next indie artist and I actually don't know if he is still considered indie since he is with Loen.

Seoul Day 1.0

After maybe after 6 months of countdown and years of dreaming to go to the land of Koreanovela (what Pinoy refer to Korean dramas) aka KDrama and KPop, we finally landed SAFE in Korea, the South part that is! We arrived at Manila on the night of 12th of April and went to Korea the afternoon of the next day! Jet lag means nothing to two people yearning to go to South Korea!

As we reach Incheon International Airport, we were taking snaps from the plane window, even joking about requesting for the pilot to tilt the plane on the left to have a better view! Only upon landing a guy told us that we almost got into an accident if the pilot wasn't able to pull up the plane. And so that's explains the  brief roller coaster ride feel that I felt! whew!

I can't remember what time we landed, but it should be around 9pm. We got our T-money at the airport and followed the signage leading to the trains. We didn't take the airport express because our stop is Hongdae (Hongik University Station) and airport express train skips Hongdae and goes straight to Seoul Station.

at Incheon International Airport
inside train to Seoul
I knew we were at the right place when a drama is being shown on TV at the waiting area. Its Kdrama of course, though I don't know what it is, and pity that its not subbed.. hehehe of course! On board the train to Seoul, I heard one lady calling the man she's with, "oppa", boy, I can't help but smile! I said to myself, "INDEED I AM IN KOREA!" hahaha!

Train stations in Seoul is no joke. It has several lines and several exits.  We got off Hongik University station, and contemplated on which way to go. I got confused with "Bank" on the map, it says Hyundai Bank (at least to what I read) and the one at our back is Woo-something bank. And the Hyundai that I see across the street is a petrol station. A guy helped us, because we are so obviously "lost" bless him! I asked for his name but I can't remember anymore. Apparently, our guesthouse is 10 mins walk from the train station and as a treat for us, we passed by FNC! The studio where CNBLUE started and was the very street that CNBLUE most likely roamed around during their training days. Mr. Helpful guy commented on how excited we were (because we are squealing) and we can only answer "Yes!" I was about to explain why but I'm afraid it will be gibberish to him and might say to himself "Ugh! Fangirls". hehe!

We got into our guesthouse, still full of energy even if its already almost midnight. We stayed at Seoulwise Guesthouse. The owner, Mr. Young speaks English well so we don't have any problems communication wise. The room that we stayed is cozy and clean. We booked a 55,000 KRW/night room and we have our own bathroom. They clean the room everyday, free breakfast, till 10 am but we always fail to have it. After we put our things to our room, we head out to the convenient store for ramyun!

See some travel tips (from what I learned from our day 1 in Seoul) below.

Lessons learned... er...Travel tips!
  1. Go for a morning flight if its your first time to visit a country. Unless a friend will pick you up or the hotel will pick you up from the airport. Although, we did not feel threatened (maybe because we are over excited), still you're a foreigner and technically know nothing about the place, except from months and months of googling and reading from different blog posts, still its different when you are already there. I think you will enjoy more scenery when you will arrive during the day.
  2. Install handy apps! Install ahead of time Seoul's or Korea's train system. As I said above, its no joke, well at least for me, who just happened to live in two countries where there are 2-3 lines of trains and just have 2-4 exits. If you don't have a smartphone, which I don't know what's stopping you to get one, have a print out of the train system and make sure its colored.
  3. Know train timings. We were appreciating Incheon International Airport when we landed and even snaps pictures, taking our sweet time, without knowing that trains don't run 24/7! Good thing we did not miss the train towards Seoul.
  4. Read the map thoroughly. Because in Korea, a petrol station/gasoline station is called an Oilbank! I actually learned it the next day, when everything is lit up. So the map is not wrong, I just failed to read the whole thing. Its Hyundai Oilbank, not Hyundai Bank, dummy! If only I read it well, We will not be standing there, debating or rather nearing to do a "eeny, meeny, miny, moe". Though it made us meet a kind person that made our impression of Seoul better.
  5. Eat on the plane. Eat whatever they offer if you booked for a night flight. We had our lunch and snack in Manila and Incheon is 4 hr flight, 1 hr train ride. You'll be hungry and the best option is a convenient store. Cebu Pacific offers decent (rice & viand) food for 300 Php. So I guess its better to have it rather than not finding anything to eat when you land.

Cryfest with Gu Family Book Episode 21

What do you do to fight your tears from flowing when you are watching something that you will definitely cry? Well for me, I like to multitask, sometimes I paint my nails or grab my phone and check Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and what have you. Last night while watching episode 21 of Gu, I was playing Pumpkins vs Zombies and I just glance here and there (my friend is wondering how can I watch a show, read the subtitles and do something else) but my goodness! My chest suddenly felt heavy and tears fell.

Its a good ending to their love story. Good in a sense of how it was written, it is so fitting. Fitting to let you grab the sleeves of your shirt, if your tissue is far from reach. Its the voice over of Wol-ryung that hit me, “I didn't hate you. I only missed you. I didn't resent you. I only loved you with all my heart. I love you. I love you.” waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!

I love how they put the acoustic version of Best Wishes to You (잘 있나요) as the background music of that scene, and its Wol-ryung (Choi Jin Hyuk) actually singing which made it more heartfelt!

I love how Seo-hwa admitted that she was young that time and that her heart was not that big to cater for his love. I love the lines of Wol-ryung that sorta say his action tends to look like hatred and resentment towards her but truly, it just that he misses her so much and loves her so much. waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh. How many times we see a negative but in reality it is meant for our good.

Choi Jin Hyuk, I've loved you in I Need Romance, and I love you more in Gu Family Book! Last 2 episodes next week!

Loving Monstar!

My Kdrama life continues, though my last entry was about Flower Boy Next Door. So far I've finished "Unexpected You" while I'm on vacation its a 50+ episodes, yes I can't believe myself either that I was able to finish that show. Its a good one and its bearable to watch till the end.

Right now I enjoy watching Monstar! Its being shown every Friday only, which is a total pain, though each episode is longer that the usual 2-episode a week drama. I love watching high school drama plus this is a musical! No, its not just another Dream High or Glee (whatever happened to that show? because I stopped watching). I've been loving every episodes but last Friday's episode is a blast for several reasons (might contain spoilers):

  1. Less bickering between Se-yi and the star, Seol-chan. Ha! I love it when he says "I'm a Star"
  2. More background stories for the other characters
  3. Nana lighting up, see everyone has a soft spot, I think she has a big crush on Sun-woo
  4. The duet of Do-nam and Kyu-dong of 2NE1's I am the Best
  5. Do-nam's beatbox perf.
  6. Seol-chan back-hugging Do-nam to stop him from leaving, and how others stopped him as well. Awwwww moment for me.
Monstar has been covering popular Kpop songs and I will try to get them all! Right now I manage to rip and convert to mp3 the I am the Best duet of Do-nam and Kyu-dong and the beatbox too! I will use this as my ringtone!

For recap of this drama, you know where to go to, dramabeans! To see it online go to dramacrazy.

Big Baby Driver - A K-Indie Gem

I have a great find today and its Big Baby Driver! Okay, first the name is catchy, I mean these words "big", "baby" and "driver", if use them all together produces a curiosity to the readers. You'll get several  ASLs if you use that inside a chatroom. Its not your usual KPop name, you know the mixture of  capital and small letters and sometimes punctuation marks like SHINee, f(x) to name a few, not to mention that you have to know if you are pronouncing it right. Second, I was surprised that she is female, and third superb music!

So Big Baby Driver is an indie band and can't find a wiki article about her. ugh! Anyway this guy/gal wrote something about her (thanks!).

When you fall in love with KPop and you are a bit mature, the tendency is to dig more to the scene, thus finding greater talents than those on the mainstream. Well that statement could be entirely wrong for you, but for me it is so true. Although I am just a rookie on the KPop scene, I thirst for moaaarrrr Korean music.

I am a fan Sarah Mclachlan, Jewel and Fiona Apple, so maybe that is why I am attracted to Big Baby Driver's music.

The first song that I heard from her is the "Tuesday Song", OST of King of Dramas, which I did not know that it was sung by her. Now Cyrano Dating Agency have several songs from her too and this is how I learned about her music. At first I was trying to find the background music on episode 5 (its by Ra.D, another artist that I like now) and find out about the drama's OST, and most of them is saying that they like the song of Big Baby Driver. I googled and found her other works which includes the song that I like in Joowon's drama, Level 7 Civil Servant, "A Stranger". I was surprised that I can understand her English. I hate to admit that most English on mainstream Kpop makes me cringe. I like "You Gonna Quit me Blues".

Tracklist:
  1. You Gonna Quit me Blues
  2. Big Baby Over 38,000 km Away
  3. Your Sun is Stupid
  4. I'm Leaving Here Now
  5. I Am a River Dolphin
  6. Constantly Vanishing Me
  7. Everyday Blues
  8. Marca's Wedding
  9. You're a Jumping Zebra
  10. Let's Breaking Down
  11. Tomorrow
  12. Singing for the One Less Lonely Mind

You can get it here. Thanks to this user on kiwi6.com. I'll buy her album once I get to Korea next year in autumn. I've got one K-Indie album that I bought when I was in Korea, its the second album of Urban Zakapa!

CNBLUE in Manila!

I was not there. That's a very sad fact. Sad is an understatement. For years I and my few friends were following CNBLUE. Okay we are FANGIRLS and I don't have to expound that term for you. I've been to two CNBLUE concerts but still, having it in our own country will make it more special, more awesome! You see Philippines or should I say Manila is so thirsty with Kpop compared to our neighboring countries. I am not sure of the fanbase of Kpop in Philippines overall, but there's been concert here and there and a yearly Kpop convention that started in 2009, which makes it hard to believe that Manila will be one of the last places when it comes to concert like this.

I thank those guys who made the effort to let CNBLUE come to Manila. I am skeptical but hopeful for that to happened and it did. I remember voting for the survey that they did last year. It is just a bliss to see it actually happened, even my title of this post "CNBLUE in Manila"!

To make things more fun for the Pinoy fans, CNBLUE had a press con SM Megamall. I asked my sister to go there, for the fear of just a few fans will show up. But man, I was mistaken big time! Another reason why I asked her was, I know that one way or another she'll get to get pass security people, and there she was, in front row (or the sides) bearing production pass and see my boys, up close! can I cry now? waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

We are so envious because I for once flew to Hong Kong twice to see them live, get up so early in the morning to get the best tickets to see them as close a possible, but her, my little sister, just a jeepney ride and metro ride, boom! CNBLUE in her face. She was not even a fan. Though she finds Minhyuk cute. What made her more lucky is she got a copy of the coverage of the presscon that almost did not happen for the fans are getting crazy or CRAZY. Any Pinoy Boice will go wild after waiting for years. And yes I am bitter, we are bitter! hehe!

Here's the video for your viewing pleasure!

Bluemoon, more fun in the Philippines!

Vacay I Like!

I am actually back from my holidays and still too lazy to work. I didn't write an entry during my vacation for 1) I am chained to Candy Crush Saga 2) I am glued on TV for a 58-episode drama 3) Laziness. Haha! I do feel that I have a license to be lazy after all I waited 1 year and 4 months. As an overseas worker, we are to get a month long vacation every year and as for me, I usually go on vacation on a "need" basis. Like if I want to spend my Christmas and my mom's birthday, I'll go on December, if I want a summer vacation, I'll go some time March or April. This time, I need to be in Korea during spring for the cherry blossoms, thus I left mid April and enjoy a 5-week vacation! yay!

I'd rather rather talk much of the little stresses associated with this vacay, starting from my luggage (ask any OFW.. hehehe), to overly talkative passengers that started chatting (a little loudly) from the time their butts hit their seats all the way to Brunei which is a 7.5-hour plane ride. Ugh!

So where did I go? Its more of a "go" to me than "do" this vacation actually. I went to places this time but I kinda guilty of not "doing" much. Oh I did something dummy! Thus a new page on this blog... polymer clay. yay!

I think this is the grandest vacay ever! I've gone to South Korea and Hong Kong. Striking out one place on my bucket list (still got a lot on that list by the way). And CNBLUE! For its already second time is a charm! hehe

So hopefully, I'll be able to document my Korea trip and my BLUEMOON experience!

Musings on Flower Boy Next Door Finale

I cried. I just watched the last two episodes of Flower Boy Next Door with subs and on HD. I did miss a lot from not watching on HD and with subs. I might have cried a river if I have not seen it raw and read comments on dramabeans. I said on my previous post that I like Shut up Flower Boy Band better for it made me cry, but now this show made me cry too! Flower boys why? tvN why?

It made me cry when they both realized that they are each other's world. It may sound cheesy to some, but that made me wanna tell that to someone and hopes that that person would feel the same way. Like Dok-mi's world, Enrique; Enrique's world, Dok-mi. I miss the feeling of being in love and being loved back. And at that moment of realization of love, nothing else matters -- money, food, career, health.. just the two of you. Its funny how being in love makes you feel that you are the only two person in the world and that is enough.

Deep breath...When Enrique was singing who would not be swept by it? And at the end told Dok-mi that he can sing it to her everyday. Sniff..sniff.. if only I could stop the world at that time for them...

I like how the drama showed that the two, well actually the neighborhood moved forward and even added a new neighbor, Ms. Right-now! PDnim.

This is a drama to beat in my heart this 2013! Show, you'll be missed!

Smooches for Flower Boy Next Door Finale!

Spoiler ahead!

Uhhhmmm, I think I was supposed to write an episode per episode sort of recap and sort of a reaction to the highly popular Flower Boy Next Door. That is a fact among us who lives in Kdramaland. Well it ended a while ago and it was uploaded right away... raw.. maybe if I stayed awake till 2 am, I'll probably be seeing it with subs.

For the duration of this drama, its been my habit to a) watch it raw, usually its available around 11am GST yay! The fairies are fast! b) read recap around 8am (next day) at dramabeans so amazed how they have the recaps and screengrab for our pleasure and then c) watch it at night with subs.

I really enjoy the drama even with that way of watching which might be ruined by reading recaps and comments, but it does not. I really love how it was a bit different, the way they start the next episode given the "cliffhangers" from the previous episode. I usually skip the beginning of each episode that I watch in every drama for it just a bunch of things that I saw on the last episode, but in this show its not.

Shall I highlight how cute Enrique is? Yoon Si Yoon which is kinda love at first sight for me when I saw him in Baker King. I can still remember that scene when he was kicking some thugs' asses. he! Now seeing him with a new hair color and a very bubbly and witty character, the love went deeper. I even watched Me Too Flower which is a total waste of his talent for its just a blah drama (though I must confess that I enjoyed every scene that YSY is there). But boy! YSY kissing scene there was (fans self) hot!

So all characters were given each and everyone's resolution and ends in a comics page or a webtoon page. The drama seems to had heard me for I was screaming KISSING SCENE! I don't like Que Geum singing I have the OST for that and cuteness overload is not appropriate at the finale anymore. As I lose hope in seeing one, my screen was graced with a few minutes (was it a full minute, it feels like forever to me) of circling camera kissing scene!

I have some complaints here and there at this drama. Shut up Flower Boy Band is still number one on this "Flower Boy" franchise because it made me cry. This show us next for it let me wanna be called an "ajumma".

Now I am planning to go on hiatus with these kdramas. I am watching 7th Grade/Level Civil Servant and That Winter the Wind Blows.

I am off to Korea in what 44 days? and I can't wait.

Abra and Gayuma

Its a shame to admit that I look into KPOP, well "look" is not appropriate because you can see a designated menu for 1) CNBLUE  and  2)KPOP and I will have a SHINee menu one day. Where am I? Okay, as what I said, its a shame that I dig more on KPOP than the local scene (Filipino). Well part of it is I guess I don't live there right now and we did not subscribe to TFC or GMA TV plus well I find KPOP more entertaining and I should say interesting. You just can't imagine how crazy KPOPverse is.

I had a time to chat with my sister thru Facebook and she told me about Abra and the Gayuma MV. By the way Gayuma is actually a love potion. Though musically it might be mediocre, but the music video is so funny! BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Check below!

I cringed when the video tries to make fun of a gay person, but it redeemed itself at the end and stayed with the theme of Gayuma which is of course the whole essence of the video. I thought of discussing some more of the music videos that I watched earlier, in which I didn't even finish for what the message it brings. Sigh... I  like B.A.P. and how they sound and dance, but the One Shot music video gives me creeps. Oh and its was shot in Manila. Will not post it here, I'd rather not promote it. I just would like to see more funny music video  .

Hits and Spins! Kang Min Hyuk on Drums for CNBLUE

Its late but I really have to post this...A video of Kang Min Hyuk on drums for CNBLUE. Drummers as we know stays at the back and can barely see them. I wrote previously that I suddenly appreciated his skills when  I watched CNBLUE live last year. Usually drummers have a bigger built and that's why I doubted if that skinny kid can actually hit the drums. Well for Kang Min Hyuk he can! DAEBAK! The way he spins the drumsticks is so sexzzzy!

Check the video below:

Sugar Spun and Blobs

Teal, Yellow and Pink all from Face Shop
This is my second attempt to do a sugar spun nails. The first one was total mess that I forgot to take photos. Now my sugar spun became sugar spun and blobs.. I love the teal. I guess its better just the teal and yellow... will do another sugar spun tonight.

FBND 11 - Enrique is in love

This is a screen grab of tomorrow's episode! yay! Enrique smiles all the time, but boy, I could see that he is in love with that smile! I watched episode 11 raw. I told my friends who are camping out in dramacrazy like me to not expect any smooching, just a standard kdrama kiss for us.

I know, I know why just one entry for Flower Boy Next Door given the fact that I wish its Monday and Tuesday and the wish of all wish, understand Hangeul. I just think that when I will put an entry for that, it will be gibberish for I'll giggle every now and then and will look at my screen grabs often that I may not put any sense with my sentences in which you are probably noticing right now for I am looking at Enrique!

Good night!

[Nail Art] Spring is near!

One of my favorites when it comes to nail art is the gradient nails. Still I am struggling to achieve the look that I want sometimes. I got a new nail polish last night, a green hue which reminds me of avocado! I really wish to get a bunch of Seche Vite top coat but its so hard to get it. Its so amazing! Dries fast, supper gloss finish plus stays on my nails, so no chipping off for 3 days and thats a milestone for me!

I don't know where I can get here in Dubai which is not so Nail Artist friendly, but now its a bit friendlier actually. I have one nail polish that didn't reach me until now :( so I am hesitant whether to order Seche Vite online again.
Sally Hansen (Green with Envy),  Misslyn (551), Glitters from Daiso

Bad piggies

My dark nail polished chipped off... Thats for a 10 days no chipping off nail polish.. *sigh Now what I did is to paint my nails (not stickers) with bad piggies! It didn't turn out that good for it doesn't look like one except for the thumb!

Weekend nails

My pink gradient and dots nails were chipping off, so its time for a new color into my nails yay! Well I change them actually even if its not chipping off. A little about my pink gradient and dots. I saw that design on the internet and I really love gradient nails. This time its pink to clear gradient. Next time I'll try to post the picture where got the design, and post it along side with my version. I am still new with all these nail arts and no turning back for me now. I usually post my creations on Instagram, for me its part of the "art" thing to apply various filters in Instagram.
Sinful Colors (Folly), Face Shop (YL701), and Rimmel 60 Seconds (Clear)
So bye to that cute and girly nails. Now I welcome a dark color on my nails, which is my first love. Dark nail polishes as it makes my fingers and hands looks fairer but its a thing of the past for I can put whatever color that I want on my nails and the colors nowadays are so vast that you may not be able to use it in your lifetime! hahaha!
On my right hand, Dots! Sally Hansen (Plum Pretty), Flormar (Silver - 436)
On my left hand, Sally Hansen (Plum Pretty), Sally Hansen (Disco Ball) and  Glitters Nail polish (from Daiso)

Squeal!

Its late. I finished episode 10 a few minutes ago. As I see the preview of episode 11 it made me squeal like crazy not to mention that I rolled in my bed on excitement! Good thing I did not fall! hahaha! Yea..yea.. I replayed it several times... and grabbed this! OMO!
Well, we don't know if this will be for episode 11, because last week what they did show the preview for this week 2 episodes, so  maybe it will be like that. I hope I will not see amnesia here. When he got hit by a car, I said "no..no.. no..no amnesia please!"

I watched episode 10 raw for I could not wait for tomorrow night plus I will be uber busy tomorrow and honestly, I still need to study the devotion. I guess I am sleeping around 2 am again. The habit that I really would like to break. Hahaha! I just glimpsed on the picture!

I wish they will extend the drama.

New Year, New Dramas

A rather late post about new dramas that I am watching nowadays as one is already halfway through *sniff and the other just started and not getting on it yet. I decided to write here instead on commenting on dramabeans about what I feel about the drama that even its not yet starting, my heart had some place for it - 7th Grade Civil Servant.

If you are a Kdrama addict enthusiast like me, you probably know Joowon, the man behind the mask of Gaksital. In which me and my friends go gaga for it even to the point of reading live recaps, satisfy us (only to be ruined by bad recapping). Needless to say, Joowon is a big name now in Kdramaland and KVariety and his name billing a new Kdrama, citizens of Kdramaland anticipates its airing.

I've watched it raw and its beginning to be a habit because of Flower Boy Next Door (I'll talk about you soon) and I have mixed reaction. At the end of episode 1, I asked myself, "How much do I love thee?" How much will my love go for Joowon? I just blame myself for watching it raw and just trying to understand it based on their action and a few words that I understand (yes, from watching Kdramas with subtitles), with that it seems that I have much love for Joowon. Its not that bad, and its not that good either.

Now I watched again the first episode with subs, same reaction... not to pleased. Aren't premiers were supposed to be a blast? Its a rom-com and I believe I was laughing in the wrong parts. But still Joowon is so adorable. Earlier I watched episode 2 and it picked up a little bit, showing the other characters' background, Chansung of 2PM, I don't know much about their names though. Chansung's past, how he got the scar from his stomach, his abs were showcased too.. yay! But its a rather disturbing and I want to hug Chansung, and tell him "Its okay". he :D!

It got better and picked up a little bit. I believe I laughed at the right parts now. Its funny when they were both fighting and throwing things to each one while on a motorcycle, being driven by a delivery ajusshi and ajumma.

The preview of episode 3  is promising too, so I guess I'll be watching this drama, to fill the void of FBND. I'll explain that on my next post. I will not dissect or analyze the drama, merely saying these for entertainment purposes, nothing against the heroine but really I can't appreciate her. I don't want to bash her or anything. Her acting is good, it just that I find her voice a little annoying and her eyes are big, its so round and her make up defines it even more! Lets see on episode 3, I want to love her too, this is my first drama of her as I dropped Protect the Boss after the first episode.

Painted Nails

I can't remember when was the first time I tried nail polish. But one thing that I can recall was how amaze I am with my aunt's long colored (with design) nails! I cringe whenever a guy would comment that I don't like girls that wears nail polish. I would normally say, "It looks pretty!". I just remember how my ex-boyfriend hates it and I would make it to a point that I have nail polish when we go out! ha! Anyway I love nail polish!
