Gaksital - Some Good Things Never Last [SPOILER]

Yes its from  a Barbara Streistand's song, and Gaksital is like a lover to me, like most of the kdramas that I watch. But Gaksital had taken a big part of heart since June when I considered watching it after QIHM.

Tonight it will end. I am seeing bloodshed and tears from my eyes. Somebody will die! I fear for the ending, as I commented on one website, sometimes a drama can ruin the whole thing by a tiny bit of a scene. I hope that the ending will not be sloppy.  I want the ending to be as perfect as possible, swiftly executed.

Those shots kills me. I screamed "Kang-to, you can't kill Shunji!" Really you can't kill your best friend.  Sobs..sobs..sobs..

Its good to see a smiling Shunji again. That is what Kang-to remembers, the kindness of the then Shunji. There is still hope in Shunji's character, though we may not see it fully, but I am sure we will see redemption. I hope Shunji will not die. I hate it when drama kills all the baddies and sometimes the good ones too (the second lead usually) as if they don't know what to do, so lets just kill them.  I saw it in Moon/Sun that is why I hated that part. As for Kang-to, its also been a while since I see a genuine smile and I can see his dimples too! And if I may say this, I am really a sucker when it comes to dimples! Going back, I love the ring made from a wildflower. I wish I could get myself with HD copy of Gaksital episodes for the cinematography is just daebak! I will not talk about the romantic part between Kangto and Mokdan, for I didn't feel anything. And I blame you "Stairway Kiss" of Yoon-jae and Shi-won! He!

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="580"] image credit: dramabeans.com[/caption]
I didn't get to see the last part of this episode, for I have to come to work. I watched the 3 parts while choosing what to wear and ironing them! As for Rie, I know that she got nowhere to go, but still I like to see your character to have that final kick and sometimes its better to be with the one who loves you, and the sword contrary to what you said, can cover it all! Aaaak! hehe!

It ends tonight, I am bracing myself. I will watch it RAW even if I will only understand, a few worlds.  I was not that successful in AM1997 with this technique, Pausing the video when I think the dialogue is really important, and try to type it in Google's translator and have it translated! Is that cleaver a thing to do? For a moment it was.. until I am lost in translation. haha! In which I planned to resolve by seriously self studying Hanguel.

Its (episode 27)up and subbed in English over at kimchidramas.net and dramacrazy.net. Oh dramabeans posted the recaps too!

Subbed! - Gaksital E25 & Answer me 1997 E11

I just love Thursdays! And that is the same with the rest of the inhabitants (hehe) of UAE or maybe the whole Middle East. Its the last day of the work week!

Now this Thursday, I am loving it more for tonight I can watch Gaksital episode 25 and Answer me 1997 episode 11! The subs for Answer me 1997 were done faster nowadays! Our Kdrama fairies heard the demands of the Kdramaland citizens!

NO! I will not read the recaps on dramabeans. OK, I read just the headline. Of course the word 'good' will always be there. All of us who loves Gaksital and had been in Kdramaland for centuries knows that one drama, no matter how perfect the earlier episodes can be ruined by one tiny bit of a scene or an episode that you'll slash down one point in rating it a 10. And for Gaksital, I want to simply rate it as "DAEBAK" and that it will say it all, no need for explanations. For Answer me 1997, if it will just give the Yoon-Jae and Shi-won-they-lived-happily-ever-after ending,  I'll give it an "AWESOME" rating!

I hope I'll get both, as I am planning to do a month of drama strictly for weekend to focus on other things, mainly sleep, nail art, Bible study and my Hangeul lessons! After typing that, I might do a month long kdrama-less life.  Yikes! I just remember Song Joong Ki's new drama coming out after Gaksital, Nice Guy.

Answer Me 1997 - Episode 7 is subbed & a Little of Gaksital episode 23

As I searched for Gaksital episode 23 with English subs on my go to website for Kdramas, kimchidramas.net and dramacrazy.net, but I found Answer Me 1997 episode 7 with subs! yay! Though up to episode 10 was aired this week, it is still good to see it with subs!

[caption id="attachment_2315" align="aligncenter" width="445"] Kang-to-yah vs another Gaksital[/caption]
But its not looking good for my Gaksital. :( Usually subs are available as soon as I wake up but now still nothing :( Looking into the scenes that I scanned last night, I am more eager to see it with subs! I actually cheated by reading the recaps and comments over at dramabeans.

[caption id="attachment_2314" align="aligncenter" width="443"] Officer Kang-to down![/caption]

[caption id="attachment_2316" align="aligncenter" width="446"] Shunji more confused than ever![/caption]
Hahaha! Thought your smart ha?! They are smarter!

That Word - Bridal Mask OST - Part 5

I don't know about you, but me, I enjoy every drama OST as much as I enjoy the drama itself. I sometimes fill the longing for the next episode with the drama's OST and reminds me of the certain scenes in a drama through its OST. Just finished scanning the uploaded raw video of Gaksital episode 23, and this song is in it!

Now a new song for Gaksital is out! Goodbye Day is still my favorite though. Got this from this site. You may download it here as well.

Dark Night Rises - Errrr it Sucks!

I don't really fancy Batman, but when all those movies were shown it is a must see. I started watching Batman movies staring Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and now Christian Bale.  It took awhile for this movie to be shown here in UAE, and since it is the Eid holidays, we gave it a try. Nowadays, I don't know much about Hollywood as I sink myself in Asian dramas (Kdrama and Dorama) and Asian Movies. This Batman movie is in my radar especially after a controversy over its reviews on rottentomatoes.com that one movie critique or editor was getting hates so they are holding up the review before the premiere.  I did not read any reviews on rottentomatoes which I usually do before. Taking into account that its a Batman movie with Christopher Nolan in it, it seems promising. I was hesitant actually to watch as I find being apathetic to the victims of the shooting in Colorado. But I've moved on and watched Batman. yay!

Our seats were taken by these kids who would not want to move. Luckily the movie attendants were so firm of letting them move. Honestly kids here in UAE have the least of etiquette inside a movie house. I don't even know why Batman's rating were PG13 and letting children aged 7 years below being admitted at a Batman movie and honestly, I can't blame the kids' restlessness because I was too (its not getting anywhere for 45  minutes). I've not visited theaters that often and they still doesn't change, kids no manners at all, unsupervised.

I don't know if my whole experience of the movie was ruined because of the kids or just the movie sucks altogether. It was like watching a Batman drama, rather than Batman an action movie. They talk to much and this cliche about bombs, nuclear bomb that is, is so overused. Though with a hit of drama in it, like the whole Gotham City will vanish and people raised up to fight, I didn't get the feeling, I was not moved. The whole fight scene with Batman and Bane with the mob is like what? aren't they supposed to have a big time fight? Like glasses shattering, columns collapsing, falling from one floor to another, Batman being hurt and almost a goner to a winner? And no Catwoman-Miranda cat fight?

I am with great people with me, with my favorite Garret's Chicago mix popcorn, and a bubble tea. Even with that combo, I did not enjoy the movie. BOOOO!

There are a lot of expectations that were not met, and of course that's disappointing, no twist, no surprises, bland. I'll just wait for Wednesday for my real hero behind a mask, GAKSITAAAAL!

What now Shunji?! - Gaksital Episode 22

Why am I more worried for Shunji than Gaksital? Just like most people who are enjoying every episode of Gaksital, I think Shunji doesn't want his suspicion to be right.  He is a friend after all. Before this episode, I asked myself (being so involved in this drama), where did all the friendship between them go? After Shunji learned that his brother was the one who killed Kang-to's brother (Gaksital 1.0), I didn't see any remorse but more of a bright light, ting! another clue to the puzzle. Especially when he heard form Goiso that his hyung suspected that Kang-toya's hyung is Gaksital.  I just cannot bear friendships going into the drain because that means it was not there (friendship) in the first place.

This morning as I woke up, I scanned dramabeans' recap, and screamed "Oh no! Kang-toya!" and failed to realize that my roommates are still sleeping, good thing I didn't wake them. I know its up with subs too and again I thank the Kdrama fairies who religiously subbing Gaksital even with the presence of new dramas! The writers of this drama made my post a big joke as I wrote last night that I'll give 3-5 episodes to Shunji before he finds out. I forgot how awesome are the writers and PD of this drama.

Who would have thought that the "potato eating" scene will slice your heart and tears will automatically fall from your eyes. I realize how lonely our Kang-to is. No more family and that the hyung that he is remembering was killed by himself. Sniff.. sniff.. That episode is way, way back, only to be remembered by Kang-to with the gesture of Yang Baek.

I find the fanboy-like hug of the man who brought Gaksital to Dong Jin adorable and funny. He can't believe finally meeting Gaksital and slaps his face to complete the scene! haha!

Now why Wednesday is like 5 days from now? Off to watch episodes 5 and 6 of Answer me 1997! Oh and so its Eid Al Fitr on Sunday, so its Sunday and Monday off, so Kdrama overload! Ehem! I have to remind myself of the laundry and try to organize  all my trinkets and accessories.

Gaksital Fast Forward

Episode 22 just aired awhile ago and if you missed it, you can watch it raw here. Only eight episodes are left. Me and my friend Odie, probably Shaui too and probably everybody who is enjoying Gaksital, share the same sentiment that it will soon come to an end. We only have 4 weeks and we will soon bid farewell to our hero, hey a season 2 would not be bad isn't it? yay! I just finished watching episode 21, with a mask literally on my face, a mud mask!  Next paragraphs might contain spoilers.

As Rie/Rara/Ueno Rie becoming a real entity now, she is my favorite character now. I blame her for not feeling the romance between Kang-to and Mokdan. Though I was fanning myself with my hands as Kang-to and Mokdan have their moment its because I am afraid that Shunji will rush back to her room and see them together.  Well, Kang-to was in a way busted as Shunji halted the car and saw Kang-to leaving the hotel from his rear view mirror.

Oh, I titled this post "fast forward" because I am thinking what could be the things that will happen in the remaining 8 episodes and things that I would like to see. I am sort of  lazy sleepy to actually take some screen grab and react on some scenes of episode 21, so pardon me.

As episode 21 ends with Kang-to still fixing his uniform and wiping the sweat on his neck (Let me do it for you, I squealed), looking left and right, really careful, only to be greeted with Shunji sitting comfortably in a chair, crossed legs to complete the scene. Acccck! I wonder what Kang-to's alibi this time. Shunji is like 80% sure he is Gaksital.  I actually cheated, and checked episode 22. Heh! His not "caught" gave an apology for coming late. I am sure about the apology, that Hangeul I understand perfectly, but for coming late, that's a guess. hehe!

Fast Forward thoughts on Gaksital:

If Shunji suddenly thought of arresting Kang-to with a mere suspicion for a week, they will not encounter Gaksital, thus will add 10% more to his growing suspicion, of course the writers will not go there because it will simply kill the show.  I am giving 3-5 more episodes before Shunji learns about who is man behind the mask.  I am envisioning, having a sword fight with Shunji with mask on and later on it will be stripped by Shunji and shock will be all over his face and will shout and attack Gaksital and would utter while face to face with their sword crossed in front of their faces. Shunji will say, "You killed my brother and I will not forgive you!"

I hope Gaksital will end with Rie. Hehe.  The chemistry is great between the two. Can't we just kill Mokdan?

Katsuyama spoke some sensible lines in episode 21, I wonder if he will stay at Rie's side no matter what. Meaning no matter if she sides with Gaksital. I know he secretly love Rie.

Seon Hwa will find her love with the one who gave her the flag.

The count's son will become a freedom fighter also and will end up with Madame club owner.

It creeps me out to see Gaksital having a sword fight with the one who tries to kill Rie when she was still a gisaeng and the one who killed Kono.

Kishokai will be disbanded. Death, death, death.

Gaksital will prevail, and so is Joseon! It was not all in vain Gaksital! Come here and let me wipe your sweat again. Haha!

Things I love in this episode, the confrontation between Kang-to and Rie. I am glad that they don't talk too much. Just the necessary words to say that adds to the depth of the conversation. Shunji had the same kind of talk to Rie that surely stirred her, but this one is (Kang-to and Rie's talk) stirred by a mixer on number 5! Which left tears..tears.. and tears. I was hoping that Kang-to will wipe her tears but didn't happen. Second thing I like and brought me tears, is the waving of Korean flag during the welcoming of the boxer who won a WBO title which happened to be a Joseon, not Japanese.

This whole thing about being under a colony of another country in this drama, surely I can relate. It reminded me of Filipino heroes as well that sometimes I don't give much appreciation on what they did, and just enjoy the holidays to commemorate their deaths. "I deserve to die" ala drama. hehe. Seriously I feel sorry.

Happy weekend! Hope Eid will fall on Sunday! That will mean 2 days off! 2 days of Kdramas!

Subbed! - Gaksital Episode 21

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="300"] image from dramastyle.com[/caption]
With all the new KDramas that premiered this week, Faith, Arang and the Magistrate, and To the Beautiful You, I was worried that it will mess up with my drama, Gaksital. My meaning of "mess up" is it will delay the usual immediate uploading of subbed episode, i.e English! I  am still surprise of how fast they upload Gaksital raw and the morning I wake up, its up already with subs! yay! With The King 2 Hearts before, I have to wait for Saturday for both episodes to be subbed - a total bummer.

I thank you subbers, the fairies of the Kdramaland! By the way, you can watch it here. You can also read decent recaps and later on funny and insightful comments from avid readers like me in dramabeans!

Happy weekend!

O Gaksital, Gaksital

We are back to the normal schedule, that is 2 episodes for this week. We survived the one-episode-a-week Gaksital!  The cliffhangers on both episodes 17 and 18 were so over the edge and doubted my mental survival.  As a withdrawal method, I shy away from any other drama, but keep Joo Won at bay, I turned into 1n2d.

[SPOILER ahead]

I failed to put an almost-recap post for that episode, and its part of my withdrawal. Episode 17's last scene was Mok Dan unmasking Gaksital and saw Lee Kang-to! After that, romance (a little kiss there, and a hug and assuring words to each other later on).  I am glad that the drama didn't go to the part where in Mok Dan's hatred for Lee Kang-to will be more that her reverence to Young Master. Its good that the drama did not go to complicate how Mokdan would know how Kang-to became Gaksital and have it straight from Kang-to which is more satisfying.

Its good to know that Gaksital now has someone new to lean into because the burden is unbearable. I cried terribly at episode 18. Not of Kang-to-Mokdan encounter but the people who supported Gaksital, coming into the venue where Damsari will be executed publicly, against the will of Chief Kono, with white garment underneath. Although very much aware that such effort will be vain, still they had their voices known.  I thought of how our patriots fought during those times as well, when our country, Philippines was also under Japanese Annexation. Our Gaksital is recuperating, from serious wound received from Rie's swordsman.

As soon as the commotion was over, a man in dressed in white, with a mask, comes flying from the behind and cut the rope that was around Damsari's neck. At first, what?! you are not supposed to be there because he will be surely caught! After seeing being shot from the leg, he was easily surrounded by the police, a bit rounded chin, ha! its not the real Gaksital! I was relieved, relieved that its not the real Gaksital. But wait! He is a suicide bomber! Dynamites were wrapped around his waist and one hand holding wick and the other a lighter, and then KABOOOM!

Episode 19, the one shown last night, started with the remnants of Episode 18. I usually hate it when dramas shows part of the previous episode, but this I don't mind. It is need to have the feeling when....the real GAKSITAL shows up! Gaksital shows up with a sword and ripped apart the Japanese colony flag. I watched this part raw last night, and quit because I would not understand a thing. Whenever I see Gaksital with all those maneuvers, I really hope that its Joo Won, because its so graceful.

Damsari and our Gaksital safely get away with the truck not a horse, but fake Damsari-wifey got shot and fell. NOOOOO! I already envisioned extreme torture!

Lee Kang-to showed up, looking fresh and stress free! I wonder what will be his excuse now. MIA for more than two days while the whole police force was in chaos.  He said a perfect excuse and can be understood by anyone, L-O-V-E, a broken heart that is. Shunji buys it, well since it means he will have a girlfriend now.

Before this scene, a very touching encounter, a hug between Damsari and still a masked Lee Kang-to. The drama did not show that Kang-to admitted bluntly to him that he is Gaksital. It was way satisfying towards the end of this episode that they are plotting together now! Altogether in one side, one purpose and one aim -- to set their country free from Japs!

There is a Mokdan and Kang-to encounter again at this episode.  Silent stare, so clever not to talk even though Shunji is sleeping. My heart stopped a bit and wishing they will not talk, they did not (thank goodness!) because I am sure Shunji is half awake! They talked only with their eyes, but they can't resist hold hands, and let go just in time before Shunji wakes up.

They seem to lack chemistry. Haaayyy... I even read some comments that  they would not mind seeing Mokdan's character die at the end so that Gaksital can end up with Rie. Lee Kang-to, being a smooth operator approached Rie letting her know that he saw who killed Kono and realized how powerful are the people backing up Kimura and he wants to be in. Rie confused the whole time with a bit of liquor I supposed and Kang-to's flirtation. I bet its more of the later specially after a peck on her cheek from Kang-to. I literally screamed "me too!" Ha! the joy of watching kdrama alone, you can scream all the things you want, without humiliating yourself, but later on revealing everything on a blog post. hehe!

If I am Rie, I will stutter while saying, "Ye..ye..yeeeeees, I'll tell my dad and I will make sure you will get in" haha! But no, she show up the next day announcing to Kimura and the new Chief that she wants Kang-to in and she will tell her dad! I don't blame you girl, AT. ALL!

The most touching part of this episode is when Jeokpa, the fake wifey of Damsari was thanking Lee Kang-to/Gaksital. It flashed back to a scene where Mokdan rushed to their den to tell them that Gaksital is badly hurt. And as one of the comrade said that they better kill Lee Kang-to, she said "You don't know who Lee Kang-to is? He is Gaksital!" Thus the endearing words of thanks to Gaksital and biting her own tongue killing herself. Her words she said were so intense, it left Shunji to faint and roll off the stairs (don't worry just 5 steps).

What more can I say, this drama is so good! Tonight (earlier) Episode 20 was aired in Korea. 8 episodes left. Now that makes me sad a bit.  Tomorrow will be church for me, I hope I will not think of Gaksital till I reached home. By the way, Shunji's GAKSITAAAAAAL! sounds so good as well!

Joo Won - Aegyo Galore!

Now I will start to write (I think) more about my new found love, Joo Won! Eeerrr, I don't think I need to say that, for one, my banner is already gracing his face, and his daebak drama, Gaksital aka Bridal Mask. With this "love" I am talking about, it will start by watching everything he's into, and one of it is the second season of 1n2d! I didn't realize he was there, all I know that the new addition to the group is Cha Taehyun, the guy from My Sassy Girl. And so luckily, I was introduced to one site that shares 1n2d with English subs! And indeed "Sharing is caring!" haha!

I've managed to see till episode 12 and man, Joo Won, just got a collection of his aegyos (cuteness to the highest level) and I am not complaining!  So different from the roles he portrayed in Baker King, Ojakgyo Brothers (judging from 2 episodes that I've seen, its 58 episodes for crying out loud, don't know if my love will carry me through) and of course GAKSITAAAAAL! Imagine a tall man, suddenly would do an aegyo! haha!

[caption id="attachment_2194" align="aligncenter" width="549"] didn't expect to see this! love u too! hehe! so cute![/caption]

[caption id="attachment_2195" align="aligncenter" width="630"] Joo Won wins! His Gaksital after all! hehe[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_2196" align="aligncenter" width="630"] as if begging ajumma to scoop more rice for them[/caption]

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="630"] and the berry colored jeans![/caption]

2 Episodes! - Gaksital OMO!

I screamed and it turned some heads.  It is so loud that they heard it even I am inside of a glass-walled room, with its door closed. Why? Because I just learned that Gaksital will air 2 episodes this week!

[caption id="attachment_2177" align="aligncenter" width="208"] as posted in dramabeans.com[/caption]

However it made me sad to realize that only 8 episodes will remain after this week's 2 episodes.  I have not made an entry about another daebak episode 18. An early withdrawal to one of my dearest drama.  Hope it will not screw the ending like Big and a little of QIHM, just the mobile part, or perhaps kill one of my favorite character like in The King 2 Hearts. Shi Kyuuuuung!

I We simply can't wait for Wednesday! Well actually, Thursday for me because stream with English subs of Gaksital will be released the following day.  Which reminds me of completing all the lessons on Level 1 of my Hangeul lessons from TTIK. yay!

Gaksital - Getting Better and Nastier!

If (pause) you've (pause) only (pause) seen (pause) episode 17, dfkladslfjapdf!  ITS SO FREAKING AWESOME! And its starting to take its toll on me by craving for the next episode and cursing Olympics!  Never in my life that I hated Olympics.  I mean it happens every 4 years and a lot of countries bid for them to host the event and after winning, they will build new structures to accommodate Olympics! Our beloved Kdramas were not spared from giving way to its coverage with the explanation that I had earlier.  If you don't know Olympics shame on you. But really Olympics why now? Why?

[SPOILERS, you've been warned!]

I failed to write about my thoughts in episodes 15 and 16 for a stupid reason now (thought I was doing a noble thing by catching up with I do, I do and BIG - the BIG disappointment!). We were left with Kang-to asking Damsari where is Mokdan, that left beaten-to-death Damsari asking Kangto in full disbelief if he likes his daughter and Kang-to even used her real name, Boon Yi. As I said, the show was so bad that it let Shunji (now I kinda love him in episode 17) over heard the conversation that mounted to a mountainous suspicion that Kang-to is Gaksital. Really Shunji, you can simply ask Kang-to to yell "GAKSITAAAAL!" and you'll get your answer! hehe.  And with that we were left with the scene below, Kang-to dragging Mokdan from the restaurant to escape. Of course Shunji pointed the gun to Gaksital Lee Kang-to! Bleh!

The ever witty Kang-to said a very fine excuse, "I love Mokdan!" Another bleh! for you Shunji! I first learned about Kang-to's excuse as I we (together with Shaui) were reading the live recap.  In case you don't know a site is doing a live recap and even would post screenshots of an ongoing drama you simply can't imagine how earnest those girls are.  However, with such writing, the intensity of how Kang-to uttered his confession in front of Mokdan and Shunji's gun, was not relayed nicely to non-Korean speaking audience that can't wait for it to be recapped by dramabeans or subbed in kimchidramas or dramacrazy. And that is a big bleh! for us.  After that we, vowed not to read live recaps anymore.  I don't know why reading recaps in dramabeans doesn't ruin the episode that I will watch later, though it sets the mood for me and it greatly influenced my drama choices.

Come episode 16.  See that look on Damsari's face after Kang-to shot one of his comrades from behind to save the fake wife of Damsari. Shunji is quick to follow and whew! Kang-to hit Damsari to Shunji's full view. This being-caught-tortured-escape-and-caught-again dance number can get you bored at times, it just that the drama was so good that you'll forget about all those things. Mokdan dared to enter the tortured cube on her own, after the Chief decided to interrogate her. Mokdan was told by her dad that she can trust Kang-to.

So now episode 17.  I actually thought that it will be like death this week, meaning no Gaksital, due to Olympics coverage preemption, but I read it wrong.  Still we have one episode a very good one and as what was said in dramabeans, its worth 2 episodes. That's how rich episode 17 is.

Shunji is another clever person in the house, he ordered Mokdan to be taken somewhere, well apparently to the hotel.  Which our never be outsmarted Kang-to able to locate. Two significant conversations happened, Mokdan and Shunji and the other one Kang-to and Mokdan.

This is the first time that Shunji were able to explained to her why he wore the Imperial uniform.  I suddenly want to shift to Team Shunji for a moment there.  But he smeared Kang-to-ya's character. Mokdan told how her mom were tortured and dumped into the well just gives me chill (reminded me of Sadako) and let Shunji realized how Mokdan hates the invading Japs and now he is there convincing her to trust him. At the end, Shunji powerfully slapped her. Pain.. pain.. and more pain.  Our resident poker faced samurai, heard everything, and reported to Ueno Rie.  Still dressed like a geisha (minus the white make up), she comforted Shunji and asked for the head of Mokdan.  I really liked Shunji again, because he is not afraid of Rie, and even told her how pitiful she is. Bleh! I am still thinking of the real essence of Rie in this drama, and I kinda guess that she will later on be on the good side, after all she is a Joseon, but of course she'll die.

Down to Mokdan and Kang-to conversation.  It was graced by the flashback of how Young master, asked his dad to take Boon Yi.  Kang-to told Mokdan that he is the Young master.  My heart goes for Mokdan as she can't believe what she is hearing from Kang-to.  I know Kang-to had been itching to tell Mokdan that he is the Young master after he had seen the knife from their catch-me-if-you-can encounter at the hotel. Kangto at the verged of kneeling to beg for Mokdan to believe him and tell her where is the rest of the rebels, was interrupted by Shunji. Did he hear everything?

Goodness! Thanks to a No what-are-you-doing-here-and-great-excuse-of-Kang-to kind of scene! Kang-to went to Damsari. Why Abe is not suspecting Lee Kang-to? I love his loyalty and his cuteness! Damsari told him where the rebels are, after the now famous Egg and Boulder talk. hehe!

And now we see, GAKSITAAAAAL! with the rebels to plan on how to save Damsari on the execution day. Look at the face of the rebel after Gaksital walked into their den.

Rie is on the move of killing Mokdan which we know that will never happened, not in this episode, NEVER! unless the writer wants to screw us on the ending and get institutionalized after for being crazy. She reported to father Kimura about Shunji's love for Mokdan didn't waver. Samurai brought unconscious Mokdan like a sack of cloth and Rie told the samurai to kill Mokdan.  Do you think Gaksital will see this just seating down? Something hit the samurai from behind the doors and comes our GAKSITAL!

SWORD vs METAL FLUTE! Daddy Kimura also grabbed a sword! Oh no! And also Rie after daddy Kimura was knocked off. They ran outside.  Mokdan vs Rie and Gaksital vs Samurai! Our hero was triumphant but was badly hurt and asked Mokdan to run! First time for Gaksital to utter something. Did Mokdan recognize the voice?

She did and run into the woods waiting for Gaksital with the palms of her hand pressed together on a prayer. A horse came with the unconscious and pale Gaksital.. OMO OMO.. We have a clever horse too!

Answered prayer for Mokdan! Can she take these? What are you doing?!

She unmasked Gaksital only to see Kang-to-ya! Judging from how big her eyes now, she will have a nervous breakdown. She'll go from denial to flat crazy! haha! And so I am and all who is under Gaksital spell. We have to wait for next Wednesday for the episode 18! Booo!

Gaksital Ep 13 & 14 - SO BAD!

So bad that it let me bit my nail, scream dali, dali! (faster, faster!) and worse, even said the F word!  The word that I managed to get out of my vocabulary simply blurted out of my mouth. Never watched a drama that I got so involved.  There's some spoiler below, better watch it with subs at kimchidramas.net or dramacrazy and to be entertained with recaps and viewers comments, go over to dramabeans.

After the brief romantic scene of Gaksital and Mokdan, its all business now!  The Oplan Ruin the Annexation Commemoration Celebration is to be realized.  And yes, Shunji yells, GAKSITAAAAL!

Its all success for the Gang and Gaksital but Damsari was caught.  Really with that kind of security and lack of gadgets like what we see in M.I. how can you escape.  I really like how Kimura found Kang-to lying on the floor beaten as well.  I don't care how he managed, that but our Kang-to did!  hehe!

It just killed me upon seeing Leader Jo, inside the torture cage with big spikes all over!  And to top that, Shunji is rocking the box with Leader Jo inside, looks a little bored and is like giving his legs an exercise! (this is the part where I said it) When a liquid flowed under the box, I thought that he peed due to to pain and die, but its just blood and he still alive and agreed to cooperate.  Dunno if its part of the ingenious plan (I hope it is) of Mokdan to lure Shunji and rescue his dad.

This show is so bad that they left us with Shunji, overhearing Kang-to asking Damsari where is Boon-Yi and that she is in danger! Show why? Why would you left us with that and let us yearn for Wednesday to come, totally ruining my other dramas.

[caption id="attachment_2091" align="aligncenter" width="620"] Kang-to you should be more careful[/caption]

I can't wait for Wednesday and I bet everyone that watches Gaksital, screams for the same thing!

Gaksital - Wishing its always Wednesday!

I stopped at episode 6.  By the way this might contain spoilers, better watch it with subs at kimchidramas or dramacrazy.

I refrain from watching it week by week for I know I will find it difficult to kill my anticipation for the next episode. But the feeling of being behind in appreciating a very good drama, kills me even more, so I promised to see the episodes that I missed. Next week will be episodes 13 and 14.  Will they have a kiss this time? They just manage to embrace, that melted my heart.

I love how this year, I manage to catch good dramas, a very good drama for that matter.  When it comes to drama, action is not really my cup of coffee (hehe), but this one just give the right amount of drama that I need, and right amount of action.

I still don't know what this lady-from-noble-family-turned-geisha-daughter-of-samurai-club-leader role in this drama. Maybe the slapping of Chief Kimura.  I am glad, whenever he gets a slap, for she is the only one that can do it. I'm hoping for a mind blowing twist for her character.  Though we already know that she has some crush on Kang-to and us too! Let me correct that I loooooveeeee Kang-to.

One thing that I like so much in this drama is that nobody is acting fool.  Details that were put in each scene will be explained later, which will complicate things!  I like it when Gaiso, spotted how our Kang-to reacted (he reached for his gun) when Shunji is about to slice the head of Boon Yi aka Mok Dan, aka the ultimate bait for catching Gaksital.  Its good that this spy/leech circus member which I don't bother to research her name, is finally caught by Kang-to.  I laughed at myself when I am screaming at my screen "Kang-to, don't fall into their trap!' while biting my fingernails.

My chest hurts when Shunji told Kang-to how he feels.  A complete deja vu for Kang-to.    Its beautiful how the drama told us about the same agony of the then Gaksital to our present Gaksital.

Sniff sniff at the scene when Kang-to realizes that Shunji is becoming like him, the Kang-to that is so obsessed at finding Gaksital. And even worse, he (Gaksital) is so close and even shares the same room with him. Waaaahhhh!

This entry can go a mile, for I watched 6 episodes, 2 last night and 4 today. its 1am and still have to work tomorrow.

As I write this, I am listening to Ulala Session's "Goodbye Day", Gaksital's OST.  I love this song so much.  Of course this drama is packed with good OST, the musical score is just fantastic! Can't wait for the full OST. Speaking of Ulala Session, I didn't expect that I will like them.  I saw theM wearing colorful suites, in My Immortal Song 2, singing against K. Will. Of course I cheered for K Will, now when I see them again, for sure I will now cheer for them.

Last note, Joo Won, my hands are down with your acting, really I heart you!
