Gaksital - Wishing its always Wednesday!

I stopped at episode 6.  By the way this might contain spoilers, better watch it with subs at kimchidramas or dramacrazy.

I refrain from watching it week by week for I know I will find it difficult to kill my anticipation for the next episode. But the feeling of being behind in appreciating a very good drama, kills me even more, so I promised to see the episodes that I missed. Next week will be episodes 13 and 14.  Will they have a kiss this time? They just manage to embrace, that melted my heart.

I love how this year, I manage to catch good dramas, a very good drama for that matter.  When it comes to drama, action is not really my cup of coffee (hehe), but this one just give the right amount of drama that I need, and right amount of action.

I still don't know what this lady-from-noble-family-turned-geisha-daughter-of-samurai-club-leader role in this drama. Maybe the slapping of Chief Kimura.  I am glad, whenever he gets a slap, for she is the only one that can do it. I'm hoping for a mind blowing twist for her character.  Though we already know that she has some crush on Kang-to and us too! Let me correct that I loooooveeeee Kang-to.

One thing that I like so much in this drama is that nobody is acting fool.  Details that were put in each scene will be explained later, which will complicate things!  I like it when Gaiso, spotted how our Kang-to reacted (he reached for his gun) when Shunji is about to slice the head of Boon Yi aka Mok Dan, aka the ultimate bait for catching Gaksital.  Its good that this spy/leech circus member which I don't bother to research her name, is finally caught by Kang-to.  I laughed at myself when I am screaming at my screen "Kang-to, don't fall into their trap!' while biting my fingernails.

My chest hurts when Shunji told Kang-to how he feels.  A complete deja vu for Kang-to.    Its beautiful how the drama told us about the same agony of the then Gaksital to our present Gaksital.

Sniff sniff at the scene when Kang-to realizes that Shunji is becoming like him, the Kang-to that is so obsessed at finding Gaksital.And even worse, he (Gaksital) is so close and even shares the same room with him. Waaaahhhh!

This entry can go a mile, for I watched 6 episodes, 2 last night and 4 today. its 1am and still have to work tomorrow.

As I write this, I am listening to Ulala Session's "Goodbye Day", Gaksital's OST.  I love this song so much.  Of course this drama is packed with good OST, the musical score is just fantastic! Can't wait for the full OST. Speaking of Ulala Session, I didn't expect that I will like them.  I saw theM wearing colorful suites, in My Immortal Song 2, singing against K. Will. Of course I cheered for K Will, now when I see them again, for sure I will now cheer for them.

Last note, Joo Won, my hands are down with your acting, really I heart you!

On Going KDrama Love Affair

Three weeks had past since the premiere of The Kings 2 Hearts, Roof Top Prince and Fashion King.  Love Rain followed after a week and so did Equator Man.  I honestly can be persuaded to see a drama based on reviews. I usually find reviews/rating (of 1 to 10) and recaps from dramabeans reliable not to mention hilarious which made me feel that as if I am the one talking or if I were to write it, it will be that way.

Let us start with Fashion King.  I have not seen anything from that drama except for the poster and teaser.  I promised myself to see it because of you-know-who.  Not Yuri dummy! Yoo Ah In!  I still cannot recover from his Sungkyunkwan Scandal role.  I know that his role in Fashion King will be very far from his villain-yet-lovable-enough-to-make-you-droll-character but still I want to give Fashion King a chance.  Mostly they say that "its all over the place" drama, no cohesion and dramabeans stopped the timely recaps.

Awwww, I was not mistaken.  I'm a regular at dramabeans and I was right that I did not notice any recaps.  It would probably end up like Dream High 2, 1 ,2 ,3, 4 then Series Wrap-up.  Meaning its a pain to watch and more so do a recap.  I still promise to see it though, Yoo Ah In, I'm not turning my back on you! **blink.

For those who wants to give Fashion King a chance, its up in dramacrazy all 6 episodes with subs.  Now why does its updated with English  subs while The Kings 2 Hearts isn't?  I checked the beginning of episode 6 and..and.. Yoo Ah In is so cute! (of course duh?!) haha!  You can also download it over at doramax264!

Next is Roof Top Prince not even a glimpse on this drama.  Heard Read its hilarious, its just that I had enough of sangeuks for the moment, I love watching a show with all those costumes! Its just overwhelming to me, not to mention the fusion/fantasy theme, for now I want to shove my interest on them.  Return of Iljimae  and Roof Top Prince, you'll be shove for the moment, Jung Il Woo, your still in my heart!

 Love Rain. Oh Love Rain, why does you feel like a serialized The Classic movie? And why it has to be Jang Keun Suk and Yoona?  The pretty Yoona.  I've seen one episode, I quit it because my laptop is not cooperating plus it doesn't load well.. the endless buffering of the video. AGGHHHH! Maybe that is why I didn't enjoy it that much.  The cinematography is superb! I heard the ratings were not doing well.  I hope less people would mind rating over how good the drama really is.  I can't comment much on this, since I blame the eternal buffering state of the video while I watched the first episode, to my growing dislike of the drama.  Still something I want to see, hello its JKS for crying out loud!

Lastly, The Kings 2 Hearts.  watching via online streaming is ok. The buffering is bearable.  I like Lee Seung Gi.  For those who are used to Lee Min Ho's face, Lee Seung Gi don't have that much of the appeal I should say, but I can't give up his dimple, his singing voice, and the way he carries himself in any outfit.  The cockiness he portrays suits him so well, that I would not see him doing an underdog kind of character in the future.  A lot would comment that they are fed up with that character, well I don't, because he does it so well.  I marveled when I see the jacket with army/military pattern but with ruffles! haha and yet LSG pulled it off!

Its a drama that's its difficult to drop.  Maybe that overrating it.  I like how the drama would want to discuss the NK and SK conflict and would wish of unification.  I don't know much of it but its saddening to see one nation completely divided.  They look, eat, and speak the same but would not be together.  Some things are better apart.  The SNSD thingy in this drama is so funny! A lot of symbolism that only one that knows about the whole NK and SK affairs would understand.  One comment I've seen in seoulbeats in an article "Does the King 2 Heart capture my Heart" from dkrvia

60km in 8 hours, are they crazy? Jae Ha was limping too, so that's no way he was able to finish the marathon. Of course not. The other members of WOC were behind them in the car (means they will be Jae Ha's & Hang Ah's back-support). Jae Ha was hurt (means his heart will be hurt as he steps up to the throne to be the King of the country). In the end, he finished the race with Hang Ah stayed faithfully by his side and his comrades behind them. " 

woah! That's big! Guess I need to read a little bit about the conflict.  I have to mention the creepiness of Club M president! Better see it to yourself.

Did it capture my heart?  A little bit... Who would not, its from Hong Sisters to begin with, the same writers that brought us "You're Beautiful" (if your new to Kdramas, its definitely a must see! )

Well, its not really the last, for my kdrama affair is also with an old drama that I'm lucky to get a copy thru torrent, its Flowers For My Life (2007) aka I Came In Search of Flowers that I considered watching because of dramabeans' rating: "Criminally underrated. Witty with a touch of dark humor. Set in a funeral home, it gives lovely, quirky insights on life and death. (10 / 10)"

Shut up Flower Boy Band - I'm hooked!

Judging from the title, I would never touch this drama, until girlfriday of dramabeans said so.  I remember coming across that drama while I am enjoying Flower Boy Ramyum Shop, again a drama that I would not consider because of the title.  I got a feeling that I've got enough of flower boys, well until javabeans said so.  I took her advice and just like her, I was hooked!

The drama offered something raw to most drama cliché.  An early kissing scene, the holding of hands that is more meaningful than kiss...swoon!  I right away longed for one and grabbed Yong my panda bear plush toy for embrace.

Shut up Flower Boy Band reminded me of my high school days which is centuries ago.  The silly me. I must admit that I once had a dream fantasy of marrying Basti Artadi of Wolfgang (a Filipino band) and would not mind death threats from my fellow fans that have the same fantasy as mine! haha! I suddenly missed my best friend.

It totally had me when Ji-hyuk said, "Don't look for it, I'll sing it for you.."  aaaaawwwww.  The OST rocks! Now every drama that will put "flower boy" I will definitely not judge it.   And I have to say that I am now a fan of L (Kim Myungsoo) of Infinite!

My thoughts of the song, its refreshing and I agree with my friend that it is something that you can listen early in the morning.  I should say that you can listen to it with your siesta (afternoon nap) because its soothing and relaxing.  It will be a perfect song while you chill in hammock  a beach.  Ohhh... I miss summer in Philippines :(

아직 사랑한다 - I'm Still Loving You - CNBLUE New Single!

Just yesterday, I posted what could be the possible mini-album title of CNBLUE and that they will release a video over the band's official youtube channel on 16th of March.  Now news are saying that "I'm Still Loving You" (I didn't falter Yonghwa) is CNBLUE's new song that Yonghwa composed.

Now the Winter Tour 2011 Here, In My Head DVD is now released!  Its too expensive and will cost me around 224 AED so that is more of less $60!

Fandom is never cheap.

Minhyuk's drama My Husband got a Family is on-going, but I have not seen any episodes yet.  Download links are in doramax264 but raw and online stream no subs also.  While Jonghyun will be in "A Gentleman’s Dignity" in May.

CNBLUE Covers - Geek in the Pink

As I copy Google Chrome Installer, I saw Geek in Pink.  Now since its Shaui's folder, and with 2 other CNBLUE songs there, I copied it and listened to it.  I am so sure it was Yonghwa's voice. I know i know after all those posts about CNBLUE why Geek in Pink cover of them seems a surprise for me.  Honestly I have not watched the whole CNBLUE's Bluetory -- the 5-part special about the humble beginnings of the boys.

Anyway for those who have not heard it, click here to download.  I love acoustic versions, its raw and some things are better when its raw! reminds me of sushi! I am real sucker when it comes to guys with good voice and could play the guitar (well doesn't right) reminds me of MTV Unplugged of CNBLUE and I really want to hear the acoustic version of 'Where You Are".  They said CNBLUE sang 12 songs but only 5 surfaced online (hello piracy!).

Tracks includes In My Head, Mr. KIA (Know-it-All).. not the Korean car, Rain of Blessing (the song that Shaui wished that CNBLUE will play in Hong Kong CNBLUESTORM but sadly it wasn't), In My Head (Instrumental)... at first really? Instrumental why would I need that? its the same track minus the voices of Yonghwa and Jonghyun but it was IS good. A certified gold by RIAJ. as 100,000 copies were sold (physical).

The Moon Embracing the Sun - Episode 13 and 14 is up and subbed!

Last Thursday, I finished the 12th episode and episode 13 and 14 (download links here) was aired Wednesday and Thursday.  Although I managed to stay away from the drama for I think 2 weeks (I stopped at episode 2), when I started to watch this drama again, I cannot stop! I even watch the first part of episode 13...raw!  I didn't bother to watch the next parts for I cannot understand anything.  But then I thought of dramabeans!  The witty writers recaps every episodes of almost every Kdrama that I know in a funny way.  And so I read the recap of Episode 13 and now I will read recap of Episode 14!  Dunno how reading a recap would ruin the fun of watching it.  Wait (closing the tab that bears episode 14 recap)!  Whew! Almost ruin all the fun in watching it later.  I am thinking of making a vow not to read recaps of this drama.  But the subs really are not coming that soon.  I don't know when the subs were uploaded (I didn't check last night).

Was those episodes are good? There were rumors that it will be extended to 4 more episodes which I see it coming, simply by looking into all the rating.  However it was denied by the producers.  Do you want to see more of this drama?
