Drama Crack - Bride of the Century

This drama almost skipped my kdrama radar. When it premiered my heart and mind are on You Came from Another Star. How can I watch the finale? became a first world problem for me as for that day I have to go back here in Dubai and my flight to Singapore is at 8am – the time which like the drama had been uploaded and subbed. Luckily Singapore is just 3 hours from Manila and just after I landed in Singapore’s Changi Airport, I connected to their wifi and watch it… only to be kinda not sold on the ending, but its not the worst. 

Bride of the Century has all the kdrama clichés. Quirky-hardworking-pretty/cute-poor –good-cook lead female character, Handsome-stoic-chaebol, Scheming-almost-evil mother, first love, unrequited love, accident, and ghost – to name a few. But after watching the first episode, I was sold!I still don't know why. Hong-ki? The story? It just hit all my soft spots for a drama plus Hong-ki is here! Too bad it was not being recapped on dramabeans and too bad that subs comes out so late, like Friday's episode will come out Monday. I usually gets the raw videos every Sunday. I don't know how soon it goes available in gooddrama but since I don't have internet connection at home its useless and that adds my craziness in waiting for the next episodes.

For the mean time, its been looping in my ears, part 3 of the shows OST, Words I have Yet to Say. the preview of Hong-ki's version is flooding in YouTube! And yesterday I was trying to translate it to English with my almost zero Hangeul vocabulary. hehe.

Another thing that got me all crazy about the next week's all the time is the main leads' chemistry. They are so cute -- Lee Hong-ki (You're Beautiful) and Yang Jin-sung! I am not new to Lee Hong-ki's acting but the girl, I can barely recall her to any drama. When I checked her works, she was credited in Secret Love (a love that started from a lot of hatred drama that for me equates to crazy) and I have to scan all the still to know who is she there. Apparently, she was hit and run victim - the girlfriend of Min-hyuk.

This drama is on its halfway and it will be just a little time till Kang-joo learns the truth about Doo-Rim. And just thinking about that makes me wanna hug Kang-joo.

Stand Up - CNBLUE & FT Island Concert Ends

I woke up on this side of the globe...middle east that is, thinking about how awesome it is to see both CNBLUE and FT Island on a concert.  This left me happy and sad.  Happy because I know that CNBLUE will be more loved.  After seeing a concert myself last January, I loved them more, and for those who already witnessed/experienced one surely knows what I am talking about.  For those who have not seen one, yes its a pity and its a must.

We (CNBLUE & FT Island fans) all know that the big day, the for-sure-its-gonna-be-AWESOME day is on Friday, 9th of March 8PM, PST. I read an interesting thought over twitter and you know how fans formulate thoughts (hello fanfics?, but this one which I hope will happen!

Really a nice thought!  One day I thought of bands on which I hope CNBLUE will do a collab.  Dunno if its time for them to do that but that will be interesting!

Ok so if Lee Hong Ki oppa would like to sing "In my Head" I wonder what FT Island song will my 여보Yonghwa will sing? Severely? or Girls Don't Know? or "Still" from You're Beautiful?

Will they do a collab or will they cover each other's song?  Whatever it is I'm a sore loser, I am no way near LA, and a friend of a friend will be there in Nokia Theater bearing a special badge to access everything! Hayyy! The taste of bitterness! haha!

I don't know why I can't get a bunch of pictures about the arrival of FT Island in LA.  I just managed to see a few :( like two three! the rest are just basically the same ... FT Island's back!  Still I want to experience that, I mean in the airport...taking photos of your KPop/Hallyu star bias and scream their name with the hope that they will search who is that crazy (almost scary) fan girl screaming her lungs out.  Feels like a Kpop bucket list for me!

The Moon that Embraces the Sun Episode 19 & 20 (Finale) - No Show!

My hopes are still up yesterday, even after reading that there's a possibility of the drama not to be shown as scheduled. Now its all blur and I'm about to cry. I opened my blog to post a new one to say how excited I am that finally we will see the end of The Moon that Embraces the Sun! Although quite recently, a lot of people had been saying that its overrated and not worthy of being called a national drama though they couldn't deny the drama's rating. It made me realize though that it was not at all perfect, but the beginning of this drama was so good that will let you stick with it even if the recent episodes sucks a bit and predictable.

The good thing about this sad news is I'll be able to catch up with my 49 days affair and will be able to follow closely CNBLUE/FT Island stint in LA. Raj a former colleague and fellow not-so-official-Boice, said that they already arrived. She happens to have a good friend in LA that of being so lucky is working with MNET's counterpart in LA. Which goes on to say that she will have the concert full access. In which my friend Raj is currently dying of envy. Currently I am chatting with her and my screen is flooded with "WAAAAAAA"...."WAAAAAAA". Hope to get pics soon not the one from the press just from her friend and will post it here.

Wait a sec... this is supposed to be Moon/Sun (there I already adopted it) article.

Again there will be no The Moon that Embraces the Sun for this week. BOOOOO!

Its Severely at M! Countdown

Dunno how the whole M! Countdown, Inkigayo (got it right this time, I would always write 'Inkiginayo'), Music Bank  and the likes works in Korea.  But I'm glad that FT Island won and I'm sure we will be seeing a lot of them in the future.

P.S.   I SEVERELY wanted to listen to FT Island right now, but to no avail, headphones are not with me.

FT Island - Severely MV, Loved the Song, Loved the MV

Our internet provider just upgraded our internet speed to 1 Mbps!  It may not be something to scream about (or even blog about) but we've been so patient in 512 kpbs speed but cannot afford or rather not reasonable to pay higher internet fee since we are not mostly at home.  With that note, I tested the speed over at speedtest.net and of course the ultimate  test if your speed is really good is if you can watch videos in youtube without buffering.  Upon opening my youtube account, I saw FT Island's new music video (MV) -- Severely (as I am subscribed to their channel)!  Love to see Lee Hong Ki again!  My thoughts? Well its melodramatic (like most Korean MVs).  I cannot erase Hong Ki's nail polish art!  I like his hair but the bangs is too long and it covers his pretty face.  Hong Ki looks like a kid whenever he begins to cry.. hehe.. with blood on his face, he still looks pretty (dunno why can't use handsome to Hong Ki).

I hope that one day, the Korean music industry will release music videos with English subs version.  Well good thing that there are fans who do it for them.  I still have to look for a version with English subs to know what does the news article says.  Whatever it is, its still nice to see FT Island with a new album!  And yes they've Grown-up! Hope the next MV will be track no. 2, 친구마저 잃었다 (Even Had A Lost Friend).  Loved the song, loved the video!

FT Island - 4th Mini Album - Grown-Up

FT Island the other band that I like beside CN Blue. Loved their Color Sensibility 2.0 album.  Now with their 4th mini album (still don't know what s with mini album and KPOP or the Korean music industry).  I like all the song because there's a hint of ballad in it.  Its Bon Jovi-like (I'm a fan of Bon Jovi).  My favorite as of the moment is the second track, Even Had a Lost Friend.  I still cannot find an English translation, but it sounds so good and rather sad.  Its like listening to an OST.  This album of FT Island is OST ready!  I wont be surprise if we'll see one of their songs in upcoming dramas!

The boys are so busy that they could not even attend their local award ceremonies and so is FT Island according to allkpop website.  Can't wait to see them in Hong Kong.  Too bad they skipped Philippines.  Its way too bad that they are going around countries "around" Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia and I bet they might gone to Malaysia and Singapore before.  Aigoo!
