Appreciating Nice Guy Finale

image from dramabeans.com
I don't know how you watch a drama, a Kdrama. For me I watch it as it is, and refuses to understand every detail and for me that is entertainment, less use of brain cells. However, as I frequently read dramabeans' recaps and my co-readers comments, I somehow see the need of watching into certain details of the drama, analyze it or even worse, rewrite the ending. For me that is not entertainment anymore. Or maybe I just lack analytical skills? is that bad?

[SPOILERS]

Anyway, Nice Guy, ended last Thursday and I want a happy ending. Kang Maru is such a nice guy to simply end up dead as a resolution for his character and Eun-gi live a sad life to simply have her love of her life dead. I just realized that only one person died in this drama, just the president.

The bad guys ended up in jail that in this drama crimes seems to have a lesser year of punishment. I was about not to watch the remaining quarter of the finale for my heart is already sore. Seeing Kang Maru, bleeding to death and lying on cold pavement with nobody around. I still wish to know some other details like most readers commented and even the writer of the recap, WHAT HAPPENED TO TAESAN?

Surely, Eun-gi is not the president as she is now a shop owner of a rather not so nice pastries. Just finishing up that sentence makes me wanna go to dramacrazy and watch the last quarter of episode 20 for the happy ending part is rather short, though I am still satisfy, but I want more. The drama used amnesia sparingly here. Atty. Park while in coma made me think "Oh, he will donate something to Maru, for Maru to live" but realized that Maru needs a new brain or something. Not an eye, heart or kidney. It will be nice to see Eun-gi sensed that something is so wrong with Kang Maru and rushed back to him and seeing Kang Maru almost dead but she managed to bring him to the hospital and as he gain his consciousness, asked "Who are you?" to Eun-gi and his vision blurred only hearing Eun-gi screaming at him "It's me Kang Maru, Eun-gi-ya, let's run away..."

happy ending!

Still I like the ending for it gave us a happy ending, seeing them in a peaceful countryside. We don't know how long Kang Maru had his memories back. But it doesn't matter for its back. The child which I initially thought to be their daughter, for it the name is "Kang". I am thinking, maybe one of the side effects, were remembering then, forgetting. Maybe at one point they have a kid, then eventually forgets everything, then remembering again... hahaha!

I forgot about the ring. So he had it all along. Such a nice background, and I wonder where it could be? As I wrote my FB status this morning (I finished watching at 4 am) I am with a big smile. I am so happy for Nice Guy, Song Joong Ki. Daebak!

Hello!

image from dramabeans.com
Well, hello meh blog! Its really difficult to have one a blog that is, even if you don't have any followers. Its like a pet or plant that needs to be nourished. I blame wordpress for not being able to continue to blog, my blog life was ruined by simply posting links in which I didn't know is a crime in the blogosphere.

Yeah, still some bitterness there.

So, I've been busy with SHINee, I officially own a SHINee album! Its my first non-CNBLUE album. I thought that my Kpop expenditures will be just CNBLUE and its not anymore. I have the following to buy in Korea (its cheaper there right?):

  • SHINee's first album
  • 2PM Hands Up and probably a concert DVD
  • SNSD album
  • DBSK's Mirotic
  • and other CNBLUE albums
Its roughly 5 months from now, I'll be there in April and hope that cherry blossoms will not disappoint me and a wish for Odie, my trip partner that we'll get to experience Kpop or a CNBLUE concert.

I've been busy putting up an online shop which I don't know why nobody told me that its not a walk in a park. Hehe. I've been into purchasing things online and realized that since I like to do it and sometimes people asked me to buy for them, I thought of making a little profit myself. Together with a partner, we decided to simply invest 100 USD each. What we want is to simply have what we like for ourselves to be free and get our capital. I will (I hope) will post my online shopping woes and hopes to enlighten someone out there.

[SPOILERS]

Oh I almost forgot, why the image there. I am currently watching Nice Guy or Innocent Guy or more literally,  There is no such thing as good guy in the world... hehe well something like that. I like to call it "Nice Guy" for a) Song Joong Ki is NICE! and b) Song Joong Ki is NICE! Well actually, the drama is nice rather good. Such melodrama mechanisms of Kdramas are all there, and if you've been with Kdrama for a long time, your eyes will roll over a synopsis of "amnesia" and the whole chaebol shenanigans. I hated it in Roof Top Prince that I didn't even bother to finish it. Even last year hit sageuk drama, Moon/Sun was not spared of the "amnesia" thingy and I think that is here to stay as far as Kdrama is concerned. The drama, a melodrama for that matter will not be so heart wrenching if there is no amnesia. However, in Nice Guy, I kinda root for it as what they say in dramabeans, it played a nice touch, and was inserted well. My heart swell in sorrow on Eun-gi's and Ma-ru's life. Now the writer is known for a tragic ending, which up to this point I like to brush off the idea that Kang Ma Ru might end up dead. And I will end up crying. The scene where in he vomited, I just thought of it as he finds what he did revolting and it is revolting enough to puke. Its nice that one case that he dealt with when he was on med school was the same thing that he got right now.

I even wrote on the CD where I burned the episodes that I am watching "CRY". I don't know why I want to cry nowadays. Even Ohlala Couple makes me cry. Another drama that I am seeing. Great actors and great way to understand married life. I was taken aback with the idea that Yeok is pregnant and with that her husband started to feel different now. In which, again the unborn baby uniting them, like the first time, he marries her because she is pregnant and now they will work things out because of the baby, in which for me is wrong (hello doing it for the second time, being together for the wrong reasons)

Have to remind myself that I am just watching a drama, and just have myself entertain.

Quad Kdrama

I just cannot imagine what I did last night! Overdose of Kdrama (I'll list them later), foot spa and scrub, mani, pedi and paint my nails. All ended at 2am. Now, I am sleepy and I can't get coffee for my hands will be sweaty and my heart will palpitate.

Anywaaayz, I am writing now from home, half of my screen is playing one of the dramas that I am watching nowadays. I am with a grin for I screen grabbed a super cute wink!
Its Jung Jun-ho! I don't know where I first saw him in a drama, as I read the dramas that he was in Princess Lulu, that I watched a little. I'm happy that I spotted him in Iris, a drama that I still vow to see one of these days.

And so I am watching these dramas, I don't know why I even popped in all these dramas all together. I usually would watched 2 dramas at a time. After Answer me 1997, and Gaksital, I chose Arang and the Magistrate. And boy it was good! Two episodes left for this week, and I am begging for a happy ending. Please..please.. please.. I hope I can blog the things that I like about Arang.

The second one is the body switching husband and wife drama, Ohlala Couple! So funny and yet tackle issues between of course husband and wife. I am up to date with Ohlala Couple. Their acting is superb. I've  always been a fan of Shin Hyun-jun and of course the star from the very first Kdrama that I marathoned, Kim Jung-eun and yes its Lovers in Paris. I am waiting for episode 6 subs.

Once upon a time, a girl was wondering how dramabeans recapped "You're Beautiful", and as that girl reads them, it mentioned some similarities to scene from The Last Scandal of my Life. She downloaded it and became the third drama. I usually don't want to see a film of someone I know is dead already. Choi Jin-sil, watching her in this drama, makes me always think of how depressed a person can be, how can a problem be so big, and how big a sadness can be, for a person to end his/life and most people cherish and would even wish to live to an eternity. Sad..sad.. Such great actress. I can't help but to see how hurting it was to her, drama wise, being con by her own husband of 15 years.  However, this drama, an old flame is there, ready to receive her, arms wide open and he is a big star and so handsome and cute. Was there nothing in her life that was like that? Sad that she did not find God comforting enough and how many more are like her? How many more or maybe with just my friends that they don't have the confidence in God, which is FAITH. Now tears are brimming.

Yes there is a fourth one, the melodrama, Nice Guy. I like to use that title, rather than Innocent Man. Song Joong-ki (writing that with a scream/squeal background, he!). With Episode 3 that I watched last night, I was wondering what is his plan? Does nearly dying from falling off the cliff was included in his plans? and how much more bitchiness does Jae Hee will unleash?

Song Joong Ki Graduation Picture

My eyes would roll whenever I see a tweet from allkpop with a lot of senseless things on Kpop idols. Like 'X posted a selca of X and Y showing their deep friendship' sort of things or 'X without makeup showing superior genes'. I don't know who else (aside from me and my friend) laughs when 'superior genes' is used in an article (will make a separate article on this). However on this particular tweet, I clicked on it and loaded the graduation picture of one of my 'bias' -- Song Joong Ki! I thought it will be a high school graduation picture, but its his college graduation picture! So so cute! He is graduating from Sungkyunkwan University (sounds familiar?) I should have put the title, "Sungkyunkwan Scandal star, graduates from Sungkyunkwan University" or "Song Joong Ki graduates from Sungkyunkwan University Without  any Scandals".
