CN Bluestorm in Taiwan! 28 Feb!

CN Blue’s Bluestorm in Taiwan (yea they have a Taiwan leg of the concert) is already sold out.. in 13 minutes! WOAH!  Now based on one article it broke the record of the fastest selling foreign artist concert.  I saw one receipt its 5600 Taiwan dollars! That’s another WOAH! And then one Suju fan could not accept the “new record” set by Blue boys, saying that its for a lesser capacity (the venue). Whatever!
They should change this promo poster!

Now what I am writing about is the surprise that it brought me.  All the while the next Bluestorm is gonna be in Thailand and I was surprised to read that the tickets were sold out and realized ‘Oh there will be a Taiwan leg of the Bluestorm’.  Not that I will watch it (hope I can), but fell bad for Pinoy fans.  I’m sure there’s thousands.  It seems like the Taiwanese organizers (I may be wrong) were able to get deal to FNC.  I’ve been following CN Blue and it wasn’t on their schedule for January and February (again I may be wrong).  Now if only Boice PH can get a very good organizer I bet boys will be in Manila in no time.  I think SMX Convention Center will be perfect.  They can choose from different halls in SMX. CN Blue don’t need the Big Dome or rather they cannot fill the Big Dome… yet!  A concert already forming in my mind.  hehehe.. It should be while there is school, on a weekend.  When there is school, students can save money for the concert or make-up some school projects to get kick-back! Kidding!  But seriously why Taiwan can set a concert and why not in Philippines? Good thing (sorry guys) that the Indonesian leg was cancelled, because it will be really heart breaking for Pinoy Boice that CN Blue skipped Manila.. come on Indonesia over Philippines? (sorry again).  But then I still feel so bad for Indo Boices, for a CN Blue concert is really daebak!  It’s different no matter how many videos you’ve seen online.  The way the curtain falls and behind it is CN Blue in the flesh is pure bliss.

My CN Bluestorm Hong Kong Experience 8 Jan 2012 - The Good.. The Unforgettable One

Saving the best for last.. or rather for later.  Sadly for my first CN Blue concert was a mixed of good and bad experience. I was thinking that it will be a euphoric experience but it wasn't.
THE GOOD:
We arrived on time.  Due to the efficiency of Hong Kong's MTR system, and a lot of options in going into the concert venue, we arrived on time.  We were supposed to take the MTR to Tung Chuung then take the airport bus to Asia World Expo.  However its already 7pm and we just boarded the train.  So we alighted in Kowloon Station and took Airport Express which we got a discounted fare since we are concert goers. As we arrive, fans are queuing on the CN Blue merchandise booth and fans are posing in front of CN Blue tarpaulins which I planned on doing myself before but when I was there, I said to myself its too much. As per the CN Blue merchandise its almost sold out even if its pricey. 200HKD for a shirt.  The next that happened was not good so I'll skip that.
Curtain falls perfectly.  Finally the long wait is over and this is it, its finally happening so happy.. I said to myself.  Right now I still have a vivid memory of how exactly it fell.  Now that's euphoric! haha (have a wide smile as I am writing this).
The first song.  Intuition. T'was unforgettable.  Seeing all the boys in the flesh, the crowd singing with them.. arrggghhh NICE!  During the concert I tried so hard not to view them on the screen because as for me it will be like watching them on TV or youtube.  I like Yong's body.  Like to see him not so frail.
Make some noise! In between song Yong Hwa said that! No need for him to say that actually the crowd, including me were already making some noise..rather noise!
Yong's Laugh.  There was an instance where Yong Hwa I think made a mistake.  He laughed at his mistake and continued to play.  I was so candid and I like the feel that other than giving us a show, its all but him and the rest of band having fun, thus making a little mistake is fine and can laugh about it.
Yong and Jong's guitars.  They changed guitars. So much for the comment that CN Blue is a fake band or a show band.  Although I want to see Yong play his white falcon Gretsch guitar, but its nice to see their other guitar.  That goes with Jong too!  Yong used mostly his Gibson guitar while Jong I think the Fender.
Min Hyuk.  I really have to give credit to this boy.  Often times I forget that there is a member named Min Hyuk. But boy he was good and have to really admire him.  I'm no musician but I know if it sounds good.  I wonder how he managed to play for 2 hours, no sign of fatigue, he plays hard till the end! He must have some invincible muscles. haha!  Surprisingly, he speaks English the most clear.  Sang a solo -- Star  from Heartstring OST.
Free clappers with lights.  Light sticks were sold out! But were giving away clappers which sounds annoying  in youtube. But for us who did not mange to get our CN Blue branded light sticks, we settled for the clappers anyway it has a blinking light! Truly a CN Blue memorabilia.
Jong Hyun.  He sang solos as well.  My goodness his dimple is even visible on where I am seated. I still prefer his voice over Yong (sorry mi amore). His voice is sweeter but of course Yong can hit those screaming part perfectly.
Headbanging.  Yea! Like a real rock star, it would  not be complete without and Yong Hwa had his own share! Pure bliss! Another funny thing was he complained about his neck and said he might need a massage.
English.  As I said Min Hyuk spoke English the clearest among the four.  Yong was lost for words and said 'I LOVE HONG KONG!'  dozen times.  The 'ARE YOU FUN?' or 'ARE YOU FINE?' of Jung Shin! haha! Its rather hilarious.

My CN Bluestorm Hong Kong Experience 8 Jan 2012 - The Bad

So the long wait is over. It started last November 11, when we woke up so early to get concert tickets.  We did not succeed in getting front row seats but still thankful that we were able to get some! With everything that happened to me.. to us with my friend Sharon, this blog entry is gonna be long. But I'll just concentrate on my concert experience  (the bad part). My first Kpop (although I don't like to categorize CN Blue as pop) experience is a not entirely pleasant or should I say, it did not go smoothly.  I was not 100% satisfied nor overjoyed as what I am expecting.
The reasons are:

Concert cancellation threat.  Just after we bought our tickets and while my envy over Boices in Indonesia is brewing (the first Bluestorm Asian tour was supposed to be in Indonesia, i think), the show there was cancelled. I pity Indonesian Boices.  I right away checked HK concert promoter and I found that they are way better than their Indonesian counterpart, not to mention that the ticket prices was so high.

Flight to HK was cancelled.  We paid in full our travel agent last week of November 2011.  Only to our horror that our flight was cancelled due to blah blah of Hong Kong Express.

Almost got late.  Thank God that there's an Airport Express train going straight to Asia World Expo.  We went to The Peak only to realize that we will be so late if we will take the just the MTR.  Thank God for discounted tickets as well.

Camera was confiscated.  Hahaha! I was so confident that it will not be seen, but they found it! One thorough security personnel she should have a raise or something! Paid a non refundable 25 HKD which is equivalent for a decent McDonalds meal.

NO RECORDING PLEASE! This really annoyed me and spoiled everything!  My friend was lucky enough for her camera not to be confiscated. That's good right? Actually she bought the camera just for the concert. However security personnel were all over and you cannot take any picture or video.  Our seats were situated on where they can easily see you, last row of Block A.  I tried to get a video from my phone but no luck at all.  Tried to have audio recording but you can't barely recognize what song it was.  And still I was approached and they checked if its a phone or camera.
Tip: Do not wear red during concert especially if you are planning to do an 'illegal' recording because they can easily pin point you!  For those who missed it here is the video of one of my unforgettable part of the concert.  One lucky girl.
